While tfonque went on an official visit to The Fiery City of Liege, Ron Johnson had to take charge of defending the airwaves. Being one man (and headphones) short, at some point pirates got in. Soul and Funk lovers in Ghent have something to look forward to. The Up Soul party is scheduled at the Abachobar, Hoogpoort 12. DJ’s are D’dudeski, Meinhof ‘n’ Groovekit and RocketSoul.

So, if you are into fine soul and funk tunes and positive vibes, head over to the Abachobar on Saturday, December 13, 2008 . It starts at 22hr. There is no entrance fee.

And that is not all. Meinhof and Groovekit are doing a special soul’n'funk mix this Saturday(December 7) in the Melting Pot show on Urgent FM. We kick things off at 17hr (CET), so catch the lifestream from Urgent FM.

UpSoul organisers RocketSoul are also expected to drop in for a small chat.

The idea behind the weblog is to publish 10 articles a month. The first article was posted on February 6, 2008. At the time of writing there are 9 excellent posts published.

There are some funny but always informative posts published. Ever wondered where the term muzak came from? Ten Songs has the answer.
Another positive thing are the posts on local artists. Rick receives a lot of demo’s from up and coming groups from Belgium and if he likes it he puts it on his weblog.

I am not sure what Rick will do when he reaches post # 11. Will older articles vanish or is there room for an archive?
